- Cheryl Bratt teaches Law Practice I and II at Boston College Law School. Before joining the faculty, she worked at Harvard Law School as a Lecturer on Law and the Assistant Director of Harvard's Child Advocacy Program. She was also a fellow at the University of Michigan Law School’s Pediatric Advocacy Clinic, where she taught courses and supervised students litigating special education, family, and domestic violence cases. Before entering academia, she was a litigation senior associate at WilmerHale LLP in Boston, where she represented parties at the trial, appellate, and U.S. Supreme Court level in securities actions and in pro bono education and family law matters. She clerked for the Honorable Norman H. Stahl on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and for the Honorable Mary A. McLaughlin on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Michigan.
Professor Bratt graduated with high honors from the University of Michigan and the University of Michigan Law School. Before law school, she taught eighth grade English language arts in New Orleans, Louisiana through Teach For America and later worked for the organization as a regional director. She was also a paralegal in Asmara, Eritrea for the Legal Advisor to the Government of Eritrea.
